Carlstadt, N.J. - Cedar Stars Rush is excited to announce the addition of Sebastian Andersen to the Technical Staff for the 2021 USL League Two season. Coach Andersen will serve as an Assistant to Anthony Nixon and will work as the Goalkeeping Coach for the staff.
“I am very excited to begin working with Cedar Stars Rush,” said Coach Andersen. “I am eager to help the team continue the success from the 2019 campaign and build a successful program for years to come.”
Coach Andersen joined CSA in 2014 as a staff coach, and currently, he is the Director of Goalkeeping for CSA Bergen. Coach Andersen is accredited with a coaching license from the Argentinean Football Association (ATFA)/FIFA, as well as a Director of Coaching license. However, it is his success playing, as well as coaching, professionally and internationally that he believes will have the biggest impact this summer.
“The aim is to always win, but success this season is much more than that,” explained Coach Andersen. “As the Goalkeeping coach, I am hoping to help those positional players develop their skills and assist them on their path to professional soccer.”
Prior to his time in the US, Coach Andersen worked for several First Division Chilean and Argentinian teams, including Newell’s Old Boys, Colo Colo Chile, and Club Atletico Tigre. During that time, Coach Andersen experienced a great amount of success having been a five-time AFA winner and received multiple Coach of the Year awards and nominations. Before coaching, Andersen played First Division soccer for more than 11 years in Argentina.
