Coach Adair Brings Club, High School, and Collegiate Experience To The Staff

Carlstadt, N.J. - Cedar Stars Rush is excited to welcome Gary Adair to the Technical Staff as an Assistant Coach for this summer’s 2021 USL League Two season. Coach Adair brings a combination of club, high school, and collegiate experience to the staff.

“In the US, this is the pinnacle of the CSA-Rush Pathway,” explained Adair. “The opportunity to work with the top players within a great coaching staff is a big draw for any coach.”

Coach Adair joined CSA Newark in 2017 from Soccer Domain FC, where his team won the 2015 USYS National League. In addition to his work at the club level, Coach Adair is also involved with the college game. Starting in 2011, Adair was part of the coaching staff that guided Bloomfield College to back-to-back CACC appearances before he joined Manhattan College from 2013 to 2015, and currently, he serves as an Assistant with Kean University Men’s soccer program. At the high school level, Coach Adair has experienced recent success with the Chatham High School Girls’ program (2020 Group 3 Regional Champions) and, previously, with Madison HS Boys’ (2009 Morris County Tournament Champions).

“Despite being new to the staff, I am aiming to build off of the success from 2019 and putting Cedar Stars Rush in a strong position to consistently attract top players from the region in seasons to come,” stated Adair.

Prior to coming to the US in 2003, Coach Adair worked within the Wigan Athletic community coaching programs, while working towards and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Central Lancashire. Additionally, Coach Adair holds a USSF A License and a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma.
